How I make that money honey!

This is my favorite link up of all time. I’m SO nosy and I love hearing what other people do for a living. Even more so now that
I work for a Workforce Solutions company. AKA Staffing Agency. AKA something most people have never heard of.

I, along with many other bloggers it seems, majored in Communication while in college. I attended Tiffin University for a year and a half, Wright State University for a year, and finally finished my degree after two years at the University of Cincinnati.

While enrolled at UC I truly fell in love with Communication, Public Relations and Marketing. I was an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and had four internships. Having the opportunity to intern in every aspect of PR/Marketing from collegiate to non profit to event planning was quite a ride. I dabbled in a few other communications positions here and there and was sure that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

As with most ideas I had for my future in college, that didn’t quite work out. The real world of entry level COMM just wasn’t what I thought it would be. The crappy economy and the fact that I graduated in an area surrounded with lots of colleges with lots of qualified workers didn’t help. So I needed to start over.

I have always had an interest in HR and helping people. I needed to think outside the box. That led me to where I am now. And I love it.

My official title is General Staffing Recruiter. The company I work for is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Long story short, I find people jobs. We have clients with open positions and employees who need positions. I’m the middle man, handling the “match up” and all other HR related duties while they are employed. It is extremely fast paced, which I love. It’s also great to know at the end of the day you have helped someone find employment they will hopefully keep. Very rewarding. My goal was to find a way to work in corporate America without becoming a complete sleeze ball. Goal accomplished.

Clearly...

... I don't think I have what it takes to be a "regular" blogger.

Half the time I don't even feel like showering, so what made me think I'd feel like writing heart felt posts all the time, I cannot explain.

I do however enjoy looking back at the pics I've posted that never made it to Facebook or Instagram. I like reading other blogs with the ability to comment. And I like occasionally typing out what is going on in my life.

For those reasons this blog shall remain. One day if I ever do take this more seriously, at least I won't have to come up with new blog credentials, right?

Life is good. Life is BUSY.

I started a new job a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it. This time, it actually feels like a career- and I can't wait to see where it takes me!
