Per the usual...

I have got to be the laziest person of all time. Instead of cleaning my house and packing, I'm drinking wine and watching Teen Mom.

Typical.

I always want to think of myself as this over achieving fiancé. A superwoman who works all day then cooks and cleans all night and still manages to be fabulous.

Sadly, the wine and Teen Mom is just so much more fun.

I did manage to get the dogs to the boarders on time. Got embarrassingly emotional on the drive over. House seems so empty without my smelly, insane puppies.

We'll be hopping a plane bright and early to visit Will's parents at their home in Rhode Island and I CANNOT WAIT!

This is so not their house. But it is Rhode Island.

I've never been to New England besides once for a track meet in college, and I've always wanted to go.  I can remember watching the show Providence as a kid and thinking it was the most beautiful place on earth. A week with my awesome in laws to be, William and the beach is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Not that I've been overly stressed. Lets be real, I was basically unemployed for the majority of the summer. BUT I've only been to the pool ONCE all year. Haven't been to the beach at all. Which is basically a crime in my book, so this is still a much needed vaca.

In other news, my wedding dress came in last weekend! I love love love it as much as the day I first saw it. There are some definate design alterations that need to happen, and I am replacing the original belt, but I know once it's complete it will be perfect :)

Also I changed my blog name. I realized a blog title based off of a musical was not the best idea I've ever had... and a little bit creepy.

This is my life, and this is a blog. Until I come up with something more substantial, the name will remain.

Over and out.

How I make that money honey!

This is my favorite link up of all time. I’m SO nosy and I love hearing what other people do for a living. Even more so now that
I work for a Workforce Solutions company. AKA Staffing Agency. AKA something most people have never heard of.

I, along with many other bloggers it seems, majored in Communication while in college. I attended Tiffin University for a year and a half, Wright State University for a year, and finally finished my degree after two years at the University of Cincinnati.

While enrolled at UC I truly fell in love with Communication, Public Relations and Marketing. I was an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and had four internships. Having the opportunity to intern in every aspect of PR/Marketing from collegiate to non profit to event planning was quite a ride. I dabbled in a few other communications positions here and there and was sure that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

As with most ideas I had for my future in college, that didn’t quite work out. The real world of entry level COMM just wasn’t what I thought it would be. The crappy economy and the fact that I graduated in an area surrounded with lots of colleges with lots of qualified workers didn’t help. So I needed to start over.

I have always had an interest in HR and helping people. I needed to think outside the box. That led me to where I am now. And I love it.

My official title is General Staffing Recruiter. The company I work for is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Long story short, I find people jobs. We have clients with open positions and employees who need positions. I’m the middle man, handling the “match up” and all other HR related duties while they are employed. It is extremely fast paced, which I love. It’s also great to know at the end of the day you have helped someone find employment they will hopefully keep. Very rewarding. My goal was to find a way to work in corporate America without becoming a complete sleeze ball. Goal accomplished.

Clearly...

... I don't think I have what it takes to be a "regular" blogger.

Half the time I don't even feel like showering, so what made me think I'd feel like writing heart felt posts all the time, I cannot explain.

I do however enjoy looking back at the pics I've posted that never made it to Facebook or Instagram. I like reading other blogs with the ability to comment. And I like occasionally typing out what is going on in my life.

For those reasons this blog shall remain. One day if I ever do take this more seriously, at least I won't have to come up with new blog credentials, right?

Life is good. Life is BUSY.

I started a new job a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it. This time, it actually feels like a career- and I can't wait to see where it takes me!

My Week in Pictures

Last week we emptied out a storage that held basically everything I've ever owned minus the clothes and few random things I brought to the house when I moved in with Will.

I planned to immediately unpack the boxes and organize.
That did not happen.

This morning I finally made it to the "kitchen" boxes. Totally forgot I had so many dishes. Also realized I may be a hoarder because I was able to part with only a few of them.

Just a little snappy of me trying to re-organize. Do two people need 35 coffee cups? No, but somehow to me they're necessary.

This little stand off lasted about an hour. Apparently deer aren't afraid of dogs. Or their high pitched barks. Even if it goes on for 30 minutes. I cannot wait till the day we have a privacy fence!

No explanation needed.

Saturday afternoon date to see Prometheus.

Full bar at the movies is a wonderful idea. Escp when the fiancé is dragging me to see a movie I couldn't care less about.

He later kicked my ass in Cincinnati-opoly.

The game he proposed with :)

Sunday morning dog walk =  stop in the Square for coffee.
Something I truly love and will miss about living in the city.

Happy Sunday!

She Lives

So, it's been a while.

I kind of gave up on blogging for a second.

I've still be reading all of my favorites, but posting just fell on the back burner, and I guess that burner wasn't even turned on.

Will is still working full time and earning his Master's at night. I'm working two part time jobs and trying to be wedding planner of the century. Add in trying to plan vacations, two dogs, renovating, and what used to be a pretty active social life, and time is tight.

It's enough to make you cray. My release has been wine, not the MacBook.

All the life craziness has made me realize I am not really stopping to smell the roses as much as I should. When you're always go-go-go, it doesn't leave you time to stew on the fabulousness of your life.

I was reminded of this last night when basically everyone I know got a call/email/text from me announcing my wedding photographer had posted a few of our engagement pics online.

I was so excited because A) I didn't expect to see the preview for a week and B) they are awesome!

I never take good pictures. Like, ever. So this was a real treat. Sharing my excitement with all my friends really made me remember why I wanted to blog. So I can remember these moments of pure happiness. Look back on them, cherish them, and share them with those not around to experience them the first time.

Our photographer is amazing. We have been so truly blessed to book THE most caring, experienced and just awesome wedding vendors and Brenda @ Pottinger Photography is no exception.

I also had a consult with our wedding make up artist prior to the pics to make sure my face was in tip top shape. Mollie @ BRIDEface is also amazing and really took my look up a notch from what I normally manage to pull together myself.

Most importantly, seeing these pics reminded me of how much I love my fiancé. Experiencing the day to day grind with someone is good for making them seem "normal". Part of the routine. I never ever want to take for granted that I have been blessed with one of the good ones.

Here's the preview. Can't wait to see the rest!

Monday Just Keeps Coming

I really wish I could post a picture of the wedding dress I picked out.

It is honestly perfectly ME and I cannot wait until it comes in...

Four months from now. Blah.

I can't wait to hunt for the perfect accessories.

The change in dress is however making me rethink my colors. I was dead set on navy, gray and teal... but now I just don't know.

In other news from the weekend...

My fiancé left sweet notes

and

There was lots of studying

Happy Monday!

Happy

Today, I bought a wedding dress.

I keep hearing I'm "ahead of the game".

Duh.

Who can wait to plan the most exciting and wonderful day of their life?

So happy, so blessed.

Sometimes and Always

Linking up today with Mackey Madness!

Sometimes: I want to go running or work out to slim down for the wedding.
Always: I don't. Is this insane of me? I hear and see all this info on bridal workouts, but I just don't have it in me. I fell in love at this size, why change it now, right?

Sometimes: I want to call and catch up with my best friends.
Always: I end up texting. It's a horrible habit, but there just aren't enough hours in the day to call everyone!

Sometimes: I get so mad at my dogs for how much they dirty up our house.
Always: I forgive them. They're just too cute :)

Sometimes: I mean to eat healthy.
Always: I end up eating things that consist mainly of carbs and cheese.

On the upside, I have been drinking a glass of water before my coffee in the mornings.

It's a start right?

That's all for now.

TONS of cleaning to do today.

Visiting my old job.

Getting the diamond cleaned.

Taking a walk through the Reading Bridal District. I hear it's amazing.

BB Riverboat House on the river tonight with William and some friends.

Sounds like a great day to me!

Rainy Monday

I hate rain.
Mondays are not much higher up on my list.
This morning, I was graced with both.

Apparently the universe wanted to apologize for the above because my boss called and said I could stay home until 4pm and only work the second half of my shift.

Jackpot in my book.

I am in a weird place right now, so I'm happy to have the morning off to clean, organize, and just think.

I am happy. Happier than I have probably ever been. More than that, I am stable and confident in what I am doing. For someone like me, who's been through the things I have, stability and confidence are king.

However. I never expected to be engaged and settled down at 23. I thought it'd be more like 32.

I am so ecstatic that I have found the love of my life and get to do things like wedding plan and house hunt.

Problem is, I have no idea how to do either. Or many other things that will soon be in store for me as a wife.

Thankfully, my wedding coordinator and Pinterest are helping me through the wedding process. Will also purchased the home we live in now, so we're not both first time buyers.

But still. It's kind of a lot.

I cannot wait to see what happens in the year or two to come.
And how I manage to pull it off :)

This past weekend was great. Got to spend a night out with some friends Saturday and spend the entire day Sunday just relaxin with my babe.

Happy Monday!

PS

I got a notification today stating Blanky Blankerson is now following your May 11, 2013 board.

Will's ex, who he dated for a couple years a bit before meeting me, is following my wedding Pinterest board.

I have never met this girl and literally do not know her at all.

Creepy? Should I be afraid for my life?

Seriously, who does that?

Fill in the Blank Friday

Linking up today with the little things we do.

Happy Fill in the Blank Friday. And Friday the 13th. Yuck.

Normall I hate this day, and the number 13. I'm pretty superstitious, but I think it's time I change my ways.

A) Will is flying today, so I have to be optimistic. B) I'm getting married in 2013, so it can no longer be bad luck.

1.  Today is a good day because Only 2 more work days until my day off AND my babe comes home from his business trip.

2.   The best thing I did all week was Pay our reception venue deposit and schedule a meeting to meet with a priest for the wedding!

3.  The current weather is perfect  and it makes me feel like a million bucks. The weather seriously dictates my mood most of the time.

4. The best thing about spring is see above answer. I'm always happier in the warmer months. Also, HOLIDAYS. A LOT of my friends and family, including myself and W have spring and summer birthdays, plus there are so many fun summer holidays.

5. A fashion trend that I'm dying to try out for spring is pastel denim. I bought some bright colored denim and I have been wishing I went with softer colors.

6. A person who made me smile this week was my baby sister. I ordered her some clothes and she seemed so happy when she called to tell me she received them. Love making the girls happy.

7.  The most delicious thing I ate all week was Dominos Pizza. I love pizza. Am obsessed. And we always get Dominos. We had some last week and it was a little sub par, so when this week's was on point- it was especially delicious. I know, I have a very sophisticated pallet.
