5 Month Update and where else to catch me in the blog world

So Norah will be six months next week. And I still haven't published her 5 month update. Sigh. I have had this 90% don't for a while, and it appears that is as far as it's going to get.

I'm publishing the text of this simply because this is the easiest way for me to save these milestones to update the baby book later. And I am posting just a pic or two. I took way more, but these were pretty late, so I am not spending a bunch of time editing them. Sorry month 5. I failed you.

In other news you can catch a review and giveaway of some of my favorite Rodan+Fields products today over here. Be sure to check it out!

But back to the baby.

Again, sorry this month's update is a little shotty Peanut. We will get back on track next month!

Weight: Guessing about 15 pounds.

Height: No idea! But you do seem to be getting longer.

Nicknames: P, Nor, Boog

Eating: You have 4 “big” bottles a day, about 7 ounces. Then a smaller 4 ounce one at night when we give you your medicine.

Sleeping: The four month sleep regression is NO JOKE. The longest that I’ve slept consectively this month was probably 4 hours, and that is on a good night. Heck, a great night. Honestly I think it was so bad I blocked it out at this point. I just know there was lots of waking even when you didn’t want to eat or need a diaper change. Lots of hard nap times. Lots of breakdowns on my part. But we made it through! You are at three naps a day (usually) and start the day around 7am and end the day around 7pm.

Diapers: Still in Target and/or Pampers size 2.

blurry but adorable

Clothing: You are finishing up with the 0-3 month clothing and starting on the 3-6 month clothing. Kind of depends on the item or brand, but 3-6 month fits in most things.

Social: You love looking at babies in books, people on the TV, and when people in “real life” smile and talk to you. We are still working on you actually wanting to be held by them. I think you just prefer me since we are together all day, and I sure don’t mind.

Likes: Anything that will fit in your mouth. Bath time. We also started a baby play class and you absolutely love it. Lots of rolling around, brightly colored toys, and other babies to look at. I think we are permanent customers of Kids First.

Dislikes: Being held by people you don’t know. Honestly that is about all that gets you upset. You are still startled by coughs and sneezes, or people clearing their throat.

Firsts: Rolling over from back to tummy! Bad mom this month as I can’t remember too many other firsts. We have been frequenting Kids First for play class a lot which you enjoy.

What we're looking forward to: All the new and fun things you do! Seems like you are learning more and more every day.

A visit from Nanny and our weekend

I've been really slacking on the blogging lately. I think it's a combination of not much to say, or maybe no energy to say it?

Last weekend and our week were pretty great. Will was traveling for work so my Mom came to stay with us for a few days. She hadn't seen us since November, so it was a much needed visit. We played and ate and just spend some quality time together.

Mom was able to go with us to Norah's baby play class that we attend every week. If you are in Cincinnati I highly recommend checking out Kids First. They offer every activity under the sun, and it's free for babies under 6 months! I wish I would have figured this out weeks and weeks ago. We also attend a swim class there as of last week, and Norah absolutely loves it. I'm really going to try keep up at least on of these classes after the six month mark.

Thursday I helped my sponsor put on a small open house type happy hour to present Rodan+Fields to some of her friends.

It was a hit and I absolutely cannot wait to see where this business takes me. Email me at brittanygsquared@gmail.com if you're interested in hearing about an amazing line of clinically proven skin care products, or interested in a new income venture. #FF. Foundation Free AND Financial Freedom.

Friday night we just relaxed and enjoyed Will getting home. Saturday was lots of play time and a long walk with Norah and the dogs. I don't know about you, but I'm over the cold and Saturday felt amazing. I absolutely love to talk walks and sit on our deck and I feel like it's going to be a total game changer to be able to go outside with Norah instead of being cooped up in the house. Saturday night we watched The Great Gatsby for the first time. We've had the Blue Ray since it came out two Christmases ago, so enough was enough. We loved it. I'm not really a movie person, but I know I'll be watching that one again.

Sunday Norah and I attended a neighborhood baby shower for two of our friends down the street (who are due in April just a day apart, both with girls, and just a day or so apart!). We love all the little babies in our neighborhood and love even more when their little girls who happen to have parents we hang out with as much as we can. I've said it once, I'll say it again. I love our neighborhood.

Also, I'm not sure when it happened… but my left eye brow looks like an apostrophe with a long tail. I obviously need to start getting my eye brows done. Why has no one told me I looked like this?

We ended the night with chicken, broccoli, and rice casserole. And that's that. We're ready to take on another week. Happy Monday!

Playing Catch Up in Pictures

We have been all over the boards lately. Plans, to-do's, just overall busy with this and that. Normally January is kind of dull, but not this year.

I figured I'd start the month off with a nice photo dump of pictures I haven't had a chance to post yet, and hopefully I can start February off by posting better updates more frequently!

Clearly not much goes on around here besides baby related activities.

Highlights of the month of January that didn't get photographed include me really working on my Rodan+Fields business, a Girls Night, and reunion with my best friends, and Norah starting a fun baby play class.
