Super Bowl Weekend Update

The highlight of my weekend was for sure watching the Super Bowl.

And by watching I mean binge eating and Tweeting about the commercials and lighting catastrophe.

Linking up this week with Sami and Leeann!

Some thoughts...

1. That Go Daddy commercial was disgusting.

What the hell is Go Daddy anyway? I've been wondering for years, but I don't want to Google it and give them any web traffic.

2. I love dip.

Anyone that knows me knows I love cheese. Like I really love cheese.

Most dips are mainly cheese. Therefore, I love dip.

Caprese Dip
Fresh mozzarella made it a little watery, but still amazing

3. Fast and Furious 6? Seriously? Not sure how this is even possible, but wow. Someone somewhere has got to be laughing that they are still making money off of this.

4. I am so ready for the next Star Trek movie. I LOVE Zoe Saldana. If they ever make my life into a movie, that's who I want to play me. I can dream, right???

5. Signs you're getting old: It's been 15 YEARS since Jared lost all that weight with Subway? Seriously?

I kind of stopped paying attention at this point.

I got a new Cincinnati Magazine and had a few Redd's Apple Ales in the fridge, and those seemed much more appealing.

Here's to another Monday!

It's the Little Things

One of my favorite things about reading blogs is the candid pics. Getting a glimpse into someone's life that is so personal is such a treat. Whether it's their favorite coffee mug or their loved ones or pets or latest purchase, there is just something great about learning what other people really get excited about.

It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and monotony that every day life can sometimes bring us. Seeing those candids is a great reminder that hey, I've got some pretty amazing coffee mugs (I collect them and have accumulated enough for a small army) with some great stories behind them. The man upstairs in my bedroom and the dogs in my backyard are pretty amazing to. While I'm no fashionista- I do have quite a few fab items in my closet that excite me just to put on.

When I first started reading blogs I was living in a less than desirable house on campus, working two jobs just trying to finish school and make something of myself. I DREAMED of having my own home to decorate and living a comfortable lifestyle and finding my soul mate. They were dreams that I had faith in, but wasn't sure would ever come true.

Just a few short years later here I am, living my dream. It's amazing how things as little as coffee cups and outfit posts can really make me appreciate what my life has become, and I love that about the blog world.

Happy Sunday!

Snowed In

We're not really snowed in.

But this is the closest we've been all winter, so it feels much worse than it actually is.

Adding to my feelings of helplessness are the four huge craters in my mouth, where my wisdom teeth used to live.

I was terrified about the surgery. Overall though, the whole thing wasn't as awful as expected.

Side note- this no solid foods or alcohol business is for the birds.

Anyhow. Snowed in.

What do we like to do these days when venturing out and about isn't really an option?

Three letters.

DVR

It's been weeks since I've had enough time to sit down and really focus on my first true love, television.

The lineup included a few things from ID Investigates, RHOA and RHOBH, The Office, Top Chef, Say Yes to the Dress, Law and Order SVU, and much more.

I also decided to change this blog a bit.

I am super indecisive about almost everything, and I wanted the url and blog title to be something that would remain relevant no matter what in my life changes, or what I decide to write about.

That's where brittandwill.blogspot.com comes in.

No matter what phase I'm going through, we will always be Britt and Will.

As far as "G Squared" goes, it just seems fitting.

Both Will and I have last names that begin with G, so when we marry, my initials won't change.

Though I am changing my last name to match his, in my head I think I will always think of myself as both G's, rather than just my old or new name.

The other major obsession I like to indulge in when lounging is house hunting.

Realtor.com and Sibcy.com have become my best friends.

We can't really make the move on anything new until someone buys our current house, which is driving me NUTS. Selling a home is truly the most intense exercise in patience I've ever experienced, and honestly- I'm over it.

Our home is great. I am not jaded- it really is a nice home. So what's the hold up? I know we just have to wait on the right buyer, but I am not very good at waiting. Anyone in the market to move to Cincinnati??

The good thing about the whole this is, we have plenty of time to research new areas. Cinci has a TON of neighborhoods and suburbs, each one very different from the next. At times choosing our next neighborhood/suburb is overwhelming, but mostly, it's just exciting!

Here's to a quick sale of our house, a few more days of rest for me, and hoping the temperatures make it above freezing!
