One of the main reasons I started this blog was to document my life, and share it with anyone interested in reading.
When I got engaged I had every intention of blogging about the planning process and all my thoughts and events along the way. Clearly, that didn't happen, so it's time to play catch up.
Boy has this been a journey. Happy, amazing, wonderful, but also stressful and intense. I am SO blessed to be able to plan the wedding of my dreams with the help of so many awesome friends and family.
However....
The whole wedding planning process is totally foreign to me. I keep being told by friends and family and vendors that I am "doing so well" and "totally ahead of the game" but it sure doesn't feel like it!
So far though, all the major aspects are planned.
Our ceremony will be held at a gorgeous Catholic Parish. It is the place Will and his brothers went to school K-8. Both his brothers were also married there, so it was the obvious choice. We attended a wedding there in July that was beautiful, so I know it will be on our day too.
The reception will be at a golf course and conference center. It's the perfect location and our planner there has been wonderful. We had a food tasting this month and the dinner will not disappoint. People keep saying I won't have time to eat... Not THIS bride. I love food, and I can't wait for the yumminess.
I already blogged about my photographer here, and we have also booked a videographer! It was a last minute decision, and a very expensive one, but I know I won't regret it. There are so many things I won't get to see that day, and I want them captured on film. Plus, I think being able to relive our wedding and share it with our children in the future, will be priceless.
Our videographer is amazing and all the videos posted on his site are seriously so unique and moving. That may be the part of the wedding I am most looking forward to. Besides the actual getting married part of course.
The bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dress, and tuxes for the boys are all decided on and ordered. They're exactly what I picked in my head and I couldn't be happier about the selections.
I now have my dress, heels, flats, veil, undergarments, sash and hair accessories. Just waiting on my jewelry to come in, and I'll be in business. I have a dress fitting Saturday, and I am beyond excited to finally get to try everything on at the same time.
Invites are almost assembled. Limo is reserved. Cake design is in the works. Shoes are purchased and accessories are ordered. Honeymoon is booked and passport is here.
Now we're down to the nitty gritty. Assembling the rest of the invites. Timelines. Final meetings and decisions. Let's hope the planning Gods are on my side.
The wedding countdown is down to just 3 months! So surreal. Here's to 90 more days of engagement!
So glad I found you blog via The Browse!
Haha I got married last June! It NEVER occurred to me I wouldn't have time to eat! I kept trying, but as soon as I aimed a fork towards my face, in comes some relative to say congratulations, hug, then the photographer wants a picture...rinse and repeat!
Congratulations!
:)
Thank you for stopping by! I will be sure to check out your blog. I LOVE reading about other people's wedding experiences. I am so not going to be the starving bride. I love food waaaaay too much for all that.
